Pinebrook Energy Advisors expects a relatively mild winter season but anticipates ongoing fundamental tightness in the natural gas market compared to the year prior. This will likely lead to higher energy prices than what were realized during Winter 2023-24. Natural gas producers are not ramping up output as quickly as they did during Q4 2023, and demand is expected to be stronger than the previous winter season, which was the warmest on record by some measures.
Throughout the season, we expect major risks to remain prevalent for spot natural gas and power prices, particularly during acute cold snaps that stress energy infrastructure.
Tune in to hear Pinebrook’s forecast for end-of-season storage levels as well as NYMEX natural gas prices.
