Power Market Update | 07.03.2024

Eastern U.S. electricity markets are getting a break in the heat just in time for the 4th of July while the West Coast is bracing for extreme heat.

Temperatures have underperformed relative to earlier forecasts for parts of the Eastern U.S. and Texas, weighing on air conditioning needs and peak power loads. The West Coast, however, is contending with extreme heat.
