Power markets across the U.S. are coming out of another period of extreme cold, the second for the 2024-25 winter. The arctic air incursion was centered over the middle of the continental U.S. and did not have as much of an impact on eastern markets as the January cold event, but did move far enough south to drive ERCOT peak load a new winter record.
