Prompt-month natural gas futures logged a fifth straight weekly gain as early-winter cold takes center stage. Forecasts turned sharply colder heading into Thanksgiving and look to stay below normal into early December, setting up stronger withdrawals and firmer market sentiment.
Storage is still healthy just under 4.0 Tcf, but the first withdrawal arrived earlier than usual, and LNG exports remain near record levels with daily feedgas pushing close to 19 Bcf per day. Production is strong but flat, keeping the balance tight.
