In the June 6, 2025 edition of Natural Gas Market Talk, we highlight the U.S. market’s continued tug-of-war. Futures remain rangebound despite a massive 122 Bcf storage build—the largest of the season—largely brushed off as traders wait for summer heat to take hold. Weather forecasts now show widespread warmth through mid-June, with power burn demand already ramping up. While production remains flat and LNG exports are temporarily reduced due to maintenance, exports to Mexico are hitting all-time highs. Near-term prices remain soft, but outer-year contracts—particularly Summer 2026 and Winter 26–27—are trading near annual highs.
