Natural gas futures posted the fourth straight week of losses. The prompt-month contract finished Friday below $3.00 per MMBtu, marking the first weekly settlement below that benchmark since November. Losses this week surrounded the government storage report, which showed a larger-than-expected build of 88 Bcf into underground inventories. Production volumes hit new record highs briefly last weekend but have since returned to similar levels that have been experienced since March.
