Natural gas prices declined this week amid overtly bearish near-term market conditions. A rare early-season storage build announced in Thursday’s report sent the market toward new weekly lows, but prices ultimately found some stability on Friday. Domestic production continues to move sideways and actually took a step back this week surrounding scheduled pipeline maintenance. Meanwhile, LNG exports hit a new record high at week’s end as Plaquemines continues to outperform.
