Natural gas futures fell sharply from early-week highs as traders responded to some moderation in near-term temperature forecasts. The major cold that is on tap for the next 10-14 days is expected to have a significant impact on the market, with supply disruptions and spot price spikes very likely. Meanwhile, domestic production is pushing back near year-ago levels as LNG exports hit new records.
