- Natural gas futures firmed modestly at the front, with October up $0.05 to $3.05, while deferred strips slipped, leaving the curve narrowly range-bound.
- Storage inventories rose 55 Bcf to 3,272 Bcf; the five-year surplus widened to 173 Bcf,
- Domestic production eased but remained close to all-tme record levels, while power generation demand fell sharply for the second straight week
- Weather patterns remained unseasonably mild across the Midwest and East, but near-term forecasts show a return to warmer-than-normal temperatures for a large portion of the country heading into mid-September
