• Power generation demand reached a seasonal high, climbing to roughly 46 Bcf per day at the height of the late-week heat wave.

• The EIA reported a 108-Bcf storage injection, expanding the surplus versus the five-year average to 151 Bcf.

• Real-time power prices jumped across eastern markets as PJM peak load surpassed 140 GW for the first time this season.
