- Natural gas futures moved modestly lower last week as domestic fundamentals remained relatively comfortable heading into the late-winter seasonal transition.

- A 38-Bcf storage withdrawal narrowed both the surplus to year-ago levels and the deficit to the five-year average as the winter heating season nears its end.

- Domestic demand declined sharply week over week as milder weather returned across much of the country and the market continued its transition toward shoulder-season conditions.

- Northeast Winter 2026–27 basis strengthened further, reflecting the region’s exposure to global LNG dynamics and ongoing winter deliverability concerns.
