The rally in NYMEX futures resumes as prices soar to new highs.
- Natural gas futures turned back to the upside last week, extending the recent rally and pushing to new multi-year highs through next winter
- Spot natural gas and electricity prices were mostly lower last week amid mild weather conditions in every region outside of the West
- Near-term weather conditions remain bearish, as forecasts show warmer-than-normal weather across key population centers for the next two weeks
- Plaquemines LNG indicated that they are on pace for more rapid growth in 2025 than initially expected and also announced plans for a further expansion beyond the current project that would make this the largest export terminal in North America
