- A 52-Bcf storage withdrawal flipped inventories back into a surplus versus year-ago levels and nearly flat to the five-year average.

- Heating demand spiked early last week due to a brief cold shot across the Midwest and East, but conditions eased quickly and outlooks are overtly mild.

- Spot natural gas and regional power markets were mixed but generally subdued, with pricing across the West pushing to new seasonal lows.
