Natural Gas Storage: +45 Bcf
Inventories post relatively strong build during the first week of November.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported a weekly injection of 45 Billion Cubic Feet (Bcf) in Lower 48 natural gas storage inventories for the week ending November 7, 2025 (Link). Total inventories now stand at 3,960 Bcf, 6 Bcf (0.2%) below year-ago levels and 172 Bcf (4.5%) above the 2020-2024 average for the same week.
Storage inventories posted a net build during the first official week of the natural gas winter, growing by 45 Bcf. The injection was exactly in line with the same week a year ago and came in 10 Bcf stronger than the five-year average. The very slight deficit of 6 Bcf to 2024 inventories was unchanged, while stocks grew to a 172 Bcf surplus to average levels for this time of year. At 3.960 Bcf on the precipice of winter withdrawals, inventories are in healthy shape heading into the upcoming season.
